[Req]Interior with Mental Ray

Hi, i'm tring to make an interior scene using MR in maya. The scene has no windows, so i could'nt use FBL or Physical Sun and Sky.

 

I'm able to make a good light using incandense material for the light, but the scene still to dark, i've turn of the use default light and if i use ambient light the scene looks to flat.

 

Is anybody have some advice for me? or is there's a tutorial on this?

Never tried that in Maya, but usually you'd want actualy lights - spots, ambients, area lights, IES light, or what have you - in addition to glowing objects. The glowing object may be realistic, but it takes too long to calculate since it requires Final Gather to light the scene by rays from surface points hitting the light sources - long story short, it takes a lot more calculation time than other methods.
