Ive tried all the usual stuff, but no joy. Any ideas? oh, and im using the vray physical camera.
Crazy Homeless Guy
hit the '8' key, and check to see if it is listed as the enviroment map.
Tommy L
Yes it is and the over-rides are all off in the render panel. It renders the background ok with regular camera, but not the vray physical camera. Quite annoying as ive been trying to figure it out for ages. BrianKitts
with a physical camera a standard bitmap doesn't have enough output to be seen. If you go into the output options on the bitmap for your background, you can crank up the output value and it will show up.... the actual value you would need would depend on the camera settings you are using. (long answer to explain what's wrong) the proper fix would be to turn off "affect background" in the color mapping options for vray. so that you aren't applying the camera's exposure settings to the bitmap,
Tommy L
Many thanks Brian. Where would i find color mapping options?
guitarboy
Hey tommy, u can find that option in the vray render settings under the colour mapping tab. Just open up ur render menu and click across to where u have all your tabs for GI stuff, and down near the bottom should be the colour mapping tab. at least thats where it is for the version of vray i using. hope that helps.
