I'd forget all about texturing in vectorworks though, just use it to get you model and then put it into c4d for texturing lighting and animation - its far better! nowadays im actually skipping vw all together and just setting up reference images in c4d and modeling to scale in there, once you get a bit more used to the program c4d is far better to model in as well. c4dcafe.com has lots of great tutorials to get you started.
