Mike T
Here is a project that I've been trying to get to not look so cartoony. I'm still working on the ligthing and materials, but I can't seem to get it over the edge and make it look realistic. Any suggestions? (you can rip it I don't mind). And for some reason, my hair fur modifier doesn't show up when I use a VRay Frame Buffer.
D-Holme
Looks like a good model with some nice details. My few thoughts: *the green plane on the left looks odd, perhaps doing some work this, textures/objects, or changing the camera angle so it is less prominent. *there seems to be a grey cast over the image, I am unsure whether that is because of the colours used or the rendering but some brighter details might help clear it up. *a better concrete texture could be used for the walls, perhaps with some variation of the texture through-out the model. *the small bushes along the left of the pool all look very symmetrical, a bit of size/shape changes may bring it out more. *it might just be me but with the prevalent slant of the camera and the direction of the grain in the concrete, everything seems to be pointing toward the bottom right corner. *the edges look rather sharp, a bit of bevel might help even that out. Not too ripped, I hope that this helps.
Tommy L
Looks a bit washed out. Do you have exposure control turned on in the environment panel? Maybe the GI settings are too high. Do you have the g-buffer settings set to default? What are you using the fur/hair for, the grass? You could try using vray displacement modifier instead.
