TV animation and 3ds max

Just go through the diffuse slot of a standard material and browse to the path where you clip is. If you have an opacity mask for it, be sure to include that in the opacity slot.

Don't forget your UVW map on the surface and assign the material just like any other. You should be able to view it in the viewport if you have a decent video card.

Oh yeah, Claudio's right, you can see it in the viewport. I guess the next question here is how do you "control" the tv animation. I mean how do you get your tv to show only a part of the clip you want without going to a video editor? or loop it, slow it down, speed it up to fit the time it is seen. Can these be done in max?

The video automatically loops. You can tweak this at the 'Time' rollout of your map in the Material Editor.

Also, in the 'Bitmap Parameters' rollout -> 'Cropping/Placement' you can crop your video to your liking. Don't forget to tick 'Apply' afterwards.

So, the answer is YES! You can do that all in Max! See how good it is?:D
