AFK_Matrix
Hi, Ok I am trying to follow the following tutorial: http://www.mr-cad.com/3D-Curtain-Drape-Tutorial-Using-3D-Studio-Max-p-1097.html And am having issues with applying the first wave modifier. I can get the wavey look with no problems what I can't understand is how he stops that wave from being applied to all the selected vertex? If you look at the 3rd image down only the first 2 rows of vertex have the wave effect, when I do it to my plane it does that wavey effect to all of the vertex, i have attached an image of my plane. I am only asking becuase when I apply the wave modifier to the top 2 vertex rows the interface between that and the other vertexs is horrible and looks nothing like his
Chad Warner
I'm not certain of how he did it because it looks as though all of the vertices (except the top two rows) are selected, much like you have in your object. However, what I would do is select the bottom two rows, and then turn on soft selection so that the effect slowly decreases as you get towards the top of the curtain.
