cfoster14
Good day to all of you! I've been thumbing through the forums, trying to find an answer to my query, but upon a few trial and errors, and more impatience than anything, I'm just going to ask direct. I have attached an image that I'm working on. I've circled the area where I'm having the most trouble. It's the glass railing, in front of the floor planes. There is some crazy noise thing happening and I'm not sure what's causing it. I've played with threshold, which has smoothed out the noise everywhere else, not to mention increased my render times something insane, but still hasn't solved the glass problem. Any suggestions? Oh, and the dark grey color at the floor edge is supposed to be that way. And though very close together, the glass is not intersecting the floor plane. Andrew1
How long did that take you to render the attached image ??
cfoster14
Thank you to all for your responses. . .This image was a low res one, 600x4-something, and when I rendered it at the resolution I actually needed, the artifacts went away. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, you know? In regards to how long it took to render the image, I kept the settings low, and the small image took something like 12 minutes to render. When I rendered it larger, 2500x18-whatever, it came in around 3 hours. These images weren't nearly that intensive before I had to put in all the glass.
