flooatz Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 guyz i have a difficult time in inserting objects. i work with 3dsmax in my rendering (vray plugins). i model in AutoCAD (scale in mm) then i import it to 3DSmax. now, i have an object in DFX and MAX form (furnitures). i use merge in inserting object as other says. but the object seems to very small and in wireframe only. how can i view with shades and scale to fit in my model? hope u can help me guys... only3d Posted March 10, 2007 Share Posted March 10, 2007 the scaling issue is a known problem (well i run in to it often anyways) its mostly cuz you model in mm and your max units is something else and on top of that maybe your furniture is in inches... so 3 different units from 3 different software is very likely to mess up your scale. still maybe if you change your max units to mm it might help in some way.. about your wireframe issue- is it only in viewport or also in rendering? it might be just a 'flipped noramals' problem, in that case u can use 'force 2-sided' option in your rendering and viewport conf'. hope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
