Devin Johnston
I'm working on a condo project that is right on the beach, I'm trying to create some realistic waves but more importantly I want to represent the surf coming onto the beach, the problem is I don't really know how to do this. Is there a tutorial out there or does anyone have any advice on how to achieve a "foamy" look for the shore and also what is the best way to create waves that look like beach waves and not waves in a lake? Ernest Burden III
This was asked just a few days ago. I don't recall any good answers coming in on the Max side, though. There are solutions in Vue and I recently bought a great plugin for C4D to do waves and such. Animated? If not, re-painting a photo could do the trick. Devin Johnston
Hey Ernest, I've got Vue 6 and I know I could do it with that software in fact I've already created a scene but the problem is getting my Max camera into Vue so that I can render out a correct perspective image. I know you can import 3DS files but I don't think a camera will come in with the model, and I've tried importing the model but the scale is totally wrong and I don't know how to fix it. I was reading some previous posts and Da Elf posted an image he created with max that is exactly what I want to do but his explanation of how he did it was kind of vague. I'm also using Maxwell so many of the normal tricks aren't going to work.

They read into C4D as target cameras, but they are there. A still I take it?
