nisus
Hi all, I'm using PS CS2 and I am trying to distort an image in some perspective way... I want to be able to skew/distort/move only ONE corner of an image. It used to be VERY simple: [Ctrl+T] to activate the free transform, than Shft+drag a corner, but it doesn't work that way anymore!! All key combinations of Shft/Ctrl/Alt seem to always work SYMMETRICAL... I don't want that... how do I de-activate this? How do I achieve the distortion? rgds, nisus
Tommy L
[Ctrl+T] to activate the free transform, then right click, choose 'distort'.
nisus
it doesn't work on TEXT-layers... nisus
Chad Warner
It appears that you have to rasterize the text layer before the distort works the way you'd like it to.
nisus
I know... but that is exactly what I DO NOT want to do... Strange World!!! (this must be the first time I don't like something about PS... ow dear, what a program!!) nisus
Tommy L
You'll have to manipulate the vector stuff in a vector program.
deevee84
just use illustrator for text
DennisB
I know... but that is exactly what I DO NOT want to do... Strange World!!! (this must be the first time I don't like something about PS... ow dear, what a program!!) nisus You could load a selection from the text and transform the selection, but you'll still end up with a rasterized result if you then fill on a new layer. So, you would want to make a path from the transformed selection. Or.... you could make a path from the text selection and edit that using the path selection tool. Either way, you end up with vector like text, it's just a matter of where you do the edit, as a selection or as a path. What are you trying to accomplish, crisp vector like edge detail?
