JPS
This is a project I'm doing with a local artist, its far from done but wanted your opinions on which lighting you like best...and what can I add to make it more realistic. Thanks. Rgrds, J.
Marq
Hi, I think they look really good so far, i like the one with the sunlight better because the contrast gives more depth to the objects. I would add a little bump , even if the real material is smooth, i think that would contribute to realism.. also i would move or rotate or scale the texture map on each object so the pattern is not repeated. Wojciech Klepacki
Hi JPS, The second image looks nice but the textures seem to be identical. Could u differ them? Add some dirt, noise or something... It could increase the realism, IMHO. rgds, Wojciech Klepacki
Craig Ramsay
Also add a bit of roundness to the lips at the top of the pots they just look too sharp. Maybe even add a fiew cracks or chips to make them look a bit used Craig

nuno
definitely the 1st one...amazing distribution of light, very well done. just round the edges a little bit and random the textures too..... with this improvement, i wont say its a rendering. best to you, nuno
JPS
Hi there, Thank you all for your coments and tips, I certanly do appreciate it. Maybe some of you can answer this one... I placed a stucco procedural on the bump slot and reduced it from 30 to 5 and manipulated the stucco a little. My question is why does it look glossy around the outer areas of the planters? Its like the extruded areas get glossy white on one side and on the other side of the planter they get dark glossy...Does anyone know what I mean? It also looks like this when I add the color texture to the diffuse slot.... Any suggestions? RGRDS, J.
