BrianKitts
Depends on how well you know vray. If you don't know what every button and option does then I highly recommend it. If you feel you know enough about vray to teach a course on it, then you could get by without it...... on the other hand it's my job to teach people in our firm vray, and I love the book for explaining points of things I've already known but didn't really have a good way to display the concepts. I guess we can't really answer it's life length till SP3 and v2.0 come out but as of now I think anyone whos serious about rendering with Vray should have a copy.
