archaic.at
Hi All here, i just wanted to say hello here too, some might already know me from cgtalk. my name is stefan laub, and i am the initiator and owner of vrayforc4d which we develope since almost a year and that will be lauched in not too far future:-) we are in the last development stages, vrayforc4d is a full initegrated rendersolution for Maxon Cinema 4d using the 1.5 vrayrendercore from chaosgroup. it is integrated in the c4d interface quite similar to a native renderengine. we also support most c4d shaders and even most 3rd party shaders in addition to the vrayshaders in the sdk. so you get best from both worlds:-) it supports unlimited netrendering and DR for 10workstations(thats up to 80cpus) after release1.0 there will be soon updates to 1.1. and 1.2 to add features that might not make it in the first release, like proxy objects p.e. overall we try to privide a solution that behaves similar to the 3d maxversion, also the quality is exactly the same as 1.5r4 as we use the same rendercore. the look and feel is of course more c4d like. on release there will be an updated version of our website with full info and details. you will be able to buy it directly online there and also a bit later via resellers worldwide. there will also be a forum where we try to answer all questions. in the meenwhile you can ask me here if you want. cheers stefan vrayforc4d.com

Ernest Burden III
Yeah, we're waiting, almost patiently. I got an email this morning from a collegue about something unrelated, but in it he add "so are you fed up with Cebas yet?" Indeed, I am. Go Stefan! By the way, I always thought you were French. You're Austrian?

4DM
OK, this thread has given me the kick in the pants I needed - just preordered (Mac version). Cheers, Stefan. Danny.

STRAT
Andrew, everything is explained in that cgtalk thread (if you have a spare few hours to read it ). yup, a mac version is also speeding along
archaic.at
yes renato has much mac experience too with his plugins. the vraypart of osx version is ready by vlado( i guess this was the harder part), the plugin part is quite easy in most parts as c4d sdk is made for multiplattform. at the moment renato is working on the distributed rendering.also we are improving the material layout, as it is too complicated for the avarage user in the moment. but thats more cosmetic. the macversion is important for us as half of the preorders is for macosx:-) cheers stefan
machmirdenlukas
hi IIIab, i followed your thread over at cgtalk. great! the most important feature for me to use vrayforc4d for interiors instead of maxwell would be (beside the chance of animations) ies- lights. will they make it to come with 1.0 ????? would be uuuuurcoooool cheers lukas
archaic.at
they will come, but i think for 1.1. but 1.1 will be soon after 1.0. we do plan very regular updates, specially for the first phase after release. so all that doesnt make it for some reason in 1.0 will be in 1.1 short later and some extra improvments in 1.2 one or 2 month after 1.1 and so on:-) cheers stefan
