sdds
wondering if anybody could help point me in the right direction. I am trying to understand and see if rendering rla files from cinema 4d for use in after effects has any merit. When the files are loaded into AE you get a layer with the graphic & layers containing your scene lights & camera. Trouble is after a play around I don't really get it, the lights are just adding to the already lit graphic, must be missing something here. Anyone got any experience with this? Chad Warner
I think the RLA file is similar to the RPF format that max uses. If this is the case, the file can hold additional info like z depth (for doing DOF or fog in After effects) velocity info (for doing motion blur or camera tracking), and g-buffer ID's for doing masking. sdds
Yea your right chad, but I struggle understanding how to use it. The lighting effects in post work with surface normals but.....I can't get it to work.
