joseph alexander
I just purchased a MacBook Pro I haven't had time to install BootCamp or XP yet. Does anyone have any advice as far as running windows based programs or things to look out for? -Joe
AJLynn
It's remarkably easy these days. If you go the Bootcamp way you need a non-upgrade, SP2-included installer of Pro or Home but not Media Center, 64 or Vista. If you use Parallels, get the latest version off the web site and try it with Windows 2000. Parallels is more convenient but Bootcamp is higher performance (e.g., you really need Bootcamp to run Max or a 3D game but anything less is fine on Parallels) Also, get a mouse, especially for Bootcamp (in Parallels the two-finger-tap-for-right-click thing works but in Bootcamp it's Right-CMD-Click, which is really cumbersome). joseph alexander
The mac laptop is really really nice. I'd recommend this setup.. Running windows xp.. The screen is incredible, much brighter then my friends 3K dell mobile workstation. You recommended this setup a while ago.. Thanks for the recommendation Andrew. -joe
