VRAY animation settings for moving objects_?

Does anyone out there know of any good tutorials, explanations or talkthroughs of using Vray for object animation and getting the correct settings for GI and of the objects themsleves and the correct lighting to use, Colour mapping etc. Fythoughs are straight forward, I'm looking for information on rendered moving and visibility animated objects.

 

I'm mainly wondering whether it is possible to achieve a suitable result in one render pass, without having to render seperate layers for the different animated objects.... Even with excluding objects from passes, you still have to generate a smooth GI solution from frame to frame throughout the animation.

 

Setting everything to high and single frame makes for a long wait for the preview animation.

You can animate objects all you want when you render QMC for primary and secondary.

 

Remember that you should NEVER render single frame mode for light cache or irradiance map. Besides the obvious longer render times, you will have flickering GI. So besides QMC and rendering several passes, you're only other option is to change the generate and receive GI values. You can take of GI for an object and place 4 direct light around the corners of your scene while including illumination on only the objects that were excluded from GI.

 

But if an object is small, casts just a little GI, or is obscured by other objects, you can get away with a little bit of animation without seeing noticeable problems in the GI.

I use nothing but LC and IR, and the simple rule of thumb that works for me is this:

 

Scene with ONLY Moving Camera

I'll generate a light cache and IR map file using a sampling taken every 5th frame. Every 5 frames may seem like a lot, but if you've got objects that are moving somewhat quickly it works well.

 

Scene with Moving Objects and/or Moving Camera

There's no way around it: You've got to use the Brute Force method. Every frame needs to be calculated separately.

Many people love to point out that tutorial, but I've yet to hear from one person that's actually done that method. Personally, I'd rather drink my own urine than go through the mind-numbingly endless steps of that process, but that's just me. :p

yea i had to do one with sliding doors and the only thing that i could do was tinker around with passes and then finally rendering the door with high animation preset single irrmap calculations per scene.... dont think nothing else can work
