removing aliasing in post?

Out of interest are there any techniques, plugins etc that can allow one to remove aliasing from a image in photoshop. Sometimes you are given bad graphics and expected to just remove the problems. Just interested..

to remove the antialiasing? dunno. it's a smart sharpen you need. how about a few sharpen edges?

Or the old trick of rendering on oversized image with no AA then reducing the size in post.

yea I have heard about that IC, does that increase render speed a bit + allowing you to work with more fine detail.

I don't know-I experimented with it a few years back and ended up just going back to using normal AA.

 

I think it's scene and render engine dependent. If the engine runs AA passes, caching GI and using Adaptive Sampling etc means AA shouldn't slow things down too much whereas upping the resolution will.
