exception
Having sent a notice to Jeff several days after the release of Fprime 3, a major new release of the only real progressive renderer and real time previewing solution, it seems that CG Architect has slipped this news through their fingers. So, those who have been yearning for this news, check our worley's new website. It's a bit sparse on information, the usual Steve Worley understated representation, but the great news is support for all LW 9.2 features, including energy conserving materials ala maxwell such as dielectric, conductor and so on, enhanced GI speed, Advanced Camera simulation support, and some measures for network rendering. This is great news for all of us who rely on Fprime for our daily arch viz work. It's too bad CG Architect doesn't cover this. I wonder why. IC
Exception-you're taking over from William as Newtek's evangelist. It is an odd one to cover though as it's a tool for a beta release of LightWave. I think once 9.2 is released there will be plenty of coverage and interest, not to mention raised eyebrows. I agree it's disappointing but not unexpected here. It's a bit like CG Talk's recent major article on 300 that failed to mention LightWave at all, even though it was the main tool used on the project. Here's a link... http://www.worley.com/ I never got your email. It could have been caught by a spam filter. Please send it to me again and make sure the body contains the folowing tag: *-nspm-* this will ensure it gets through. I get around 70-80K spam per year so if you send from a mail server that is not set up perfectly, you likely won't get through to me. I should also point out that I can't possibly know everything that goes on, so if the company does not send me a Press Release or I don't read about it somewhere else, it won't get published. Brian Cassil
I should also point out that I can't possibly know everything that goes on... Then who can we go to to find out everything about anything?
Jeff Mottle
Then who can we go to to find out everything about anything? Haha. What all of you FPRIME users can do is tell the makers of FPRIME to send us the Press Releases. If they hear from all of you that you want to read about it here, then tell them this is where you are looking for your news. I just emailed them myself, but feel free to do the same. batteryoperatedlettuce
Then who can we go to to find out everything about anything? I believe there is a book by Simon Winchester called "The Meaning of Everything" /silly comment.

What?! But but... who am I to trust in my hour of darkness? *witnesses personal utopia shattering* Thanks for posting the link. I'll remember to put that tag in next time I harass you about stuffs. IC: Not evangelist; critic. I've been yelling at them for years, and lo and behold, they finally listened to me and made it a good program Just kidding. I'm just enthusiastic about it, and knowing Newtek's advertisement ethic (as in, we'll throw some leaflets in our garden and if people drive by they will surely notice), it doesn't hurt to lend a hand for an ethical company, no? The 300 debacle was fun, but also the autodesk advertisements on pages where LW is actually reviewed. And yes, 9.2 should get some people saying: "dang!" IC
The problem with the maker of FPrime is that he is too busy taking orders and manually dispatching copies to do anything else. Sorry about the criticism of CGArchitect. I've always defended it as being as unbiased as the market allows in the past. I just thought Tom's email had possibly been deemed unimportant. Glad to see that's not the case.
exception
Well part of that might have been the wording in my post, it doesn't quite read the way I intended it. I've known Jeff for a long time, although he might not remember, and he's always been courteous and just in my opinion.
