jophus14
I'm not sure I'm understanding you right, but what I usually do is use a Bitmap for my material and a Bumpmap for my bump. You can also try using a VrayDisplacement on your object and then use a bump map for the displacement. You can also check out: http://www.vray-materials.de for some materials too. Brian Smith
i recommend using a nice bitmap in just the bump channel. you certainly can use a bitmap in the diffuse channel but changing the color of the concrete means changing the bitmap, which can be time-consuming, especially if you're trying to show a client (in-person) change after change. batteryoperatedlettuce
I can go with that, concrete when it is mixed is usually a pretty uniform color - however it changes pretty quickly over time giving it a less uniform apperance. Would you consider doing a vray dirt pass for compositing later? Also do you know any good tutorials for vray dirt as I haven't been able to get very interesting effects with it up to now?
