Ernest Burden III
you might know his work I might. Thanks! It's a big drill bit. The overall rendering is nice, but the other views could be better. But the building will work nicely with the rest of the Chicago skyline.
mahorela
very phallic
mtutaj
This is the second owner for this project. and the design is changing again from what my insider has told me. 140 floors.
jophus14
I'm not sure, but i'm guessing that CrystalCG did the rendering. I can't wait to see this building start to go up.
RyanSpaulding
I don't like that design at all. Looks too...phallic (as stated before). I swear I've seen that rendering style before...as I've liked other buildings from those renders...but this, no.
Jeff Mottle
The link seems to have changed to something else.
mbowers
I like it that it's different in context with Chicago. But i'm not feeling the "engineering" side of Calatrava in this latest work. So what that its a spiral, big deal, he already did that with his Turning Torso, i would love to see him do a building based on his own scultpures (much like the Milwaukee). landrvr1
Compared to Calatrava's other work, it's pedestrian and weak. Underwhelming might be the best adjective. Twisted drill bit. wow. It's something you'd expect to see from a first year architectural student; as opposed to what we've come to expect from one of the most prolific and creative architects/engineers of all time...
