ericbarlow21
Hello I was wondering if anyone had any info for me on my current situation: I Bought 1 workstation and 4 render nodes from Boxx and this is what I am hoping to do: If I have mulitple .max files ready to be rendered, I would like to send them all to the render nodes and have them que up one after another (which I believe should be done through Backburner?) but my problem is - what if I only have one file I would like rendered? How do I make Backburner utilize all 4 render nodes on that single file so that the single frame is completed faster? I have been told that Backburner can only assign one machine per frame... I have tried VRay's Distributed rendering but as far as I know there is no ability to que and manage completed jobs and mainly that if I use VRays D.R., my workstation will not become free to continue working on as it will be rendering? Is there a way to use these two programs together to solve our problem? Can anyone offer any tips or advice? I had a tech from our software resellers come out to help us but he had no luck as well Thanks, Eric
Ray
You can use multiple computers to render one image by using backburner 'render strips' check box in the backburner dialog.
Fernando Lino
You'll be able do it with the RC4, it's one of new features in Vray!!!
ericbarlow21
Is there documentation on the new features of RC4 available online? I am a bit skeptical after all of the april fools VRay jokes :-D
