Jeff Mottle
Hi all, For one of our sesisons for the upcoming VisMasters conference I'm looking to book a speaker from a high profile San Diego based Architectural firm. The firm should be well know, have worked on some interesting projects and most importantly be committed to a more advanced digital workflow. (Ie, BIM, Arch VIZ, 3D, etc.) If anyone knows of a firm I might be able to approach and perhaps I contact name I'd really appreciate the reccomendation. Cheers, Jeff

Jeff Mottle
Scott has already agreed to speak at the conference. Now I need some people for a different sessions from an arch firm.
Ernest Burden III
I need...an arch firm. Oh, yes. You actually said that, sorry for the too-quick reply. I'll see if I can come up with something more helpful.
delco
I'd suggest taking a look at Rob Quigley's office as they do some really great buildings and have won numerous AIA awards. http://www.robquigley.com They would be great for the design end of the spectrum but not sure how committed they are to digital production. I'd think with some of the higher profile buildings they've done there must be some nice viz work. Looks like their Children's Museum project in San Diego has some computer renderings for it on their website.
John Dollus
Gensler is in San Diego. Just as a point of reference, Chris Nichols worked there before driving north a bit.
Jeff Mottle
Gensler is in San Diego. Just as a point of reference, Chris Nichols worked there before driving north a bit. It was the Houston office he worked out of, before going to the Santa Monica office. The San Diego office is really small.
John Dollus
right...can't keep the san's and santa's straight out there. Still, gensler is gensler and the name is widely known. Have you contacted them?
delco
here's another one I thought of: http://www.studioearchitects.com/us-profile.htm Saw Eric Naslund from this office speak at a conference a few years ago and was impressed. They have produced thoughtful well designed buildings sensitive to place and environment. Not sure about how CG oriented they are though... Have you contacted them? I have, Jorge Barrerro out of the Chicago office is going to be teaching the new SketchUp course during the conference. Given the conference is in SD though, I would really like to secure a local firm if I can.
