Chad Warner
Hello All. This is a WIP of a residence. It seems really blah to me, so any advice or help that I can get I would appreciate it. For the moment, the background is just dropped in there, so there has been no work on matching the building to the background. This is the project I need to put ground cover in if anyone was paying attention to my last post. Thanks! -Chad
STRAT
what will the site plan look like then? as it stands all you need to do to perfectly as possible marry up the model to the photo is get the contrasts and lighting correct. so i'd turn down the main lighting right down and mainly use GI to light the scene. it's that type of day i think. also, turn off the ray traced shadow, it's not needed. im sure when the rest of the site plan is modelled in you'll have a better vision of where ur going and what type of ground cover/mapping you'll need. looks a nice start
Craig Ramsay
Is it just me or does the scale of that house look tiny compared to the trees?
Chad Warner
Here is an update. Changed the lighting a little, basically toned the direct light down a lot and upped the area shadow. Also added some ground cover (ivy map with some displacement). Material changes are at architect's request. Some issues with GI (green splotch) Thanks again, Chad
