markf
I have (2) DDRAM PC_3200 512M Kingmax in a system. I'd like to add two more but this does not seem to be available any more at Newegg where I got the original. I'd like to add another (2) 512M sticks but I have read about RAM incompatabilitie issues and hope to avoid that. I'm not tech savvy enough to know what to get that would match. Can anyone here offer me any advice or help? Thank you
AJLynn
Try to find the same product from another seller (if you know the model number, search it at froogle.com) or get RAM with as close to the same specs as you can find (including the timing numbers) but a different brand. markf
I have a limited amount of info from my purchase reciepts. Doesn't spec timing or even manufacture model # I'm going to open the computer and see if is visable on the RAM and go from there. Thanks for your reply. AJLynn
Also, you can usually read timing numbers either by looking in the BIOS settings (for what your computer is trying to get the RAM to do) or with CPU-Z (Google it - it will give you current numbers plus the actual memory's default settings, and maybe the part number as well).
