DsgnVsualization
Hi , wasn't sure which forum to post this question in but someone told me that you couldn't put a background in using V-Ray you had to use an Alpha channel or something? Is there a tutorial or could someone explain the diffrence? Thanks
kippu
of course you can add in a background in vray but i prefer saving the rendered image as png or tga and put the background using the alpha so that you can adjust it accordingly
DsgnVsualization
How do you do that _ I mean once you have it in photoshop how does the Alpha channel work? But thanks that answers my intial question
ovzoc
Save your file as a .tga format (32 bit). 32 bit is 4 channels of 8-bit (red=8,green=8,green-8,alpha=8). Then go to Photoshop and you will see on the channels tab the mask of the rendered area as white colour and the background as black colour (of course you haven't modeled sky or background and you have used your environment options via vray to add hdr or skylight). Then in Photoshop you can remove your black area and add the sky you want. Hope this helps!

AJLynn
I think it makes more sense with the missing step, which is the Load Selection command in Photoshop. That lets you select the alpha, and either delete it or move it to a Layer Via Cut.
DsgnVsualization
Quit true , I thought it was helping and got me one step closer ( thanks )
manta
I find .PNG to be easier, you just put the sky in the layer under your render...
