Here's something i'm still working on. Everything is modeled in MAX and rendered in VRay using Phys Sun/Sky and phys cam. I might be having problems with the contrast and saturation. The image looks different on my LCD and on my CRT

 

comments are most welcome.

 

My ultimate goal for this render is a sunset mood. I'll be posting more as the scene progresses and more details are added.

This is looking nice. Contrast and saturation look fine on my monitor. Can't wait to see the finished product. Will you be adding an environment?

good start! I'd recommend increaseing the sun size multiplier to get some softer shadows. it's rare to have such sharp shadows at that sun angle

Good Work, Excelente modeling, and very fine architectural detail of the house, i will be waiting for the final image of that sunset mood, it will look pretty good! Great architecture though!

Here's a minor update.

I'm almost done working with the foliage and the landscape so i thought i'd play

with my lighting intent.

I think if it's going to be so dark, you'll need to turn some lights on. The model looks really good, and I'm glad to see more of the side this go round. What about posting an image with the landscape?

I think you need to decide what the story of this rendering is. Right now its a lit building. Or semi-lit. What's going on? Maybe there's a party and people are just arriving, maybe the family is finally together and able to enjoy their garden. Tell a story.

 

It might help to print out your image and sketch over it.
