fareen Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Hi people can any one guide me with this problem i am facing with vray sun and matte shadow material there is no alfa created when we use a matte shadow material and vray light or any light the shadow in the light should not be vray shadows but should be global settings, if not the alpha is created in the image. i am getting the same problem with V ray sun and in vray sun we can make the shadow settings a global settings, so how do i get the alpha. I also tried to exclude the obj which has the matte shadow material from the sun but it doesnt work Please HELP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stephen Thomas Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 VRay doesn't totally support the matte/shadow material so there are some issues surrounding it. However, you don't even have to use this option, simply right click on your object and select vray properties from the quad menu. Then assign a value of -1 to the objects alpha contribution and check the shadow and alpha boxes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
