Exellite
Hi, This is a bit of a weird request but do any of you have a whole bunch of dvd covers you wouldn't mind parting with? they dont necesarliy have to be very high res, its just I have this tv rack thing I'm working on and its full of dvds, I would love to just put a door across the whole lot so I dont have to individually texture them but the client doesnt want that I need at least 150, I have looked on google and I can download them seperatrely from a few sites but that will take ages, also have looked on the torrents and although there are some packs out there, no one is seeding anyway, if anyone can help I shall be eternally gratefull Thanks Mark
Ernest Burden III
I need at least 150, I have looked on google and I can download them seperatrely from a few sites but that will take ages I don't have maps like that, but if I'm understanding what you want--the cover images, perhaps you could do a screengrab of the pages here: http://www.hollywoodvideo.com/movies/release_wall.aspx And then save out the covers from Photoshop. It will still take time, but they're all in one place at the same size.
Crazy Homeless Guy
....to build on Ernest's suggestion, you can speed this up if you use FireFox. there is an extension called "DownThemAll". simply set the view on hollywoods's video's website to display 90 on one page, then launch the download them all extension, it will create a list of all of the images on that page, then select the ones that are not dvvd covers, and hit download. ericbarlow21
Do you only need the spine part of the dvd label? or the front and back cover parts as well?
Exellite
well, bit of both really, i have them lined up on a few shelfs but to add realism some of them are on their sides or at an angle, theres gaps and stuff as well, i need the spines for about 130, and the full cases for about 20 odd now ive got the covers i was going to crop the spines and make 1 long map in photoshop then use that, but the 20 or so i will need to map them seperately i think
