My first urban scene

Whoops... couple of stray comments I've missed

Hey Brian,

Did you use Bionatics' trees here?

Not this time... sorry. I've actually had some technical issues with working it into my workflow and haven't had time to address them. These are just models that I dropped in.

On the reflections of the tallest building, the clouds look like they are perfectly overlaid in front of the image. Are you using "screen" type environment mapping rather than a sphyrical or sylindrical? It is noticable because at the edge of the building, the cloud looks attached to the cloud in the reflection.

It is spherically mapped but your right it looks just like the screen mapped sky issue. I'll take of that too, by just bumping up sky in post.

That is unsettling...

Re-render when? I wanted to draw over your pic but am too busy today.

And I was looking forward to that... however, since the client has already approved the look of this I can't really change anything for them. But, I would still like to see those comments for future reference and I might do another version of this for my own portfolio.

Nice work yaar!

I think the lower portion of view can be illuminated a little more and the camera prespective seems to be distorting at top may be just small tweeking will give fabulous results. By the way what are you using for trees and people? they are quite good!

Im with TommyL.... a bit of 3 point perspective would really help this IMHO. Although Im certain there is a very good reason why you are dead set against using vert correction... im just not sure I understand what that reason would be in this instance... especially when you are dealing with tall buildings!
