what the risk of copyright?and how to?

many waebsites now offering textures exchange program..i've downloaded some of them...

the exchange based upon users that share it's collection of textures

 

the question

 

is there any copyright on these textures??? and anyway to avoid copyrighted once???

Hello vtay, thats a scary avatar! I dont think theres any copyright issues with downloaded textures. Unless they state not to use them.

thanks tom , yes i understand that....but in one of the formal websites for visualization i saw a texture that refers to total-texture so i've decided to ask my friends before downloading any other stuff

Are these textures taken from commercial packages? E.g., Total Textures CDs, etc. It seems to me that uploading those files to web sites must be some kind of violation. OTOH, if you're trying to run a vis business in Baghdad, that's probably the least of your problems.

well yes i'm planing to make business but not in baghdad i'm now living in jordan ...just planing i'might puchase a series of textures
