carlangas Posted April 12, 2007 Share Posted April 12, 2007 Hi all, when I created a vray light in the bar I get these spots on the floor surface, the floor material has some reflection. I first tried increasing the suvdivisions for the light and it helped a little but they're still there.. is there another aproach to getting rid of these spots? thanks in advance. sterealkey Posted April 13, 2007 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I've encountered this before aswell. It might not be the same problem, but maybe it is then i can help you. Your vray light is set to be invisible right > now if you're using vray 1.5rc3 then this light will still show in reflections> yes its a bug, they need to fix it> i would guesss that the blotches are a reflection of your "invisible" vray light, but because of your bump map on the tiles (another guess) it show as blotches of refelcted light. Now to fix this, eisha wena If you turn off 'affect specular' on your vray light, then it'll go away, but this unfortunately switches off all specular by that light. So switch it off and render, in most cases you will get a good result and wont miss that extra bit of specularity, but if you do, then only chop out the one corner of the second render and composite it onto the first render in photoshop. Thats all I can think of I hope it helps, or I might've made a wrong analyses and just wasted 3 minutes of my life and yours Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
