themangohippo
I'm currently working on a office building animation for a group project in my design class. I am responsible for the exterior scene as well as an interior office scene (haven't started interior yet). I'm trying to produce the best results visually for the exterior while still obtaining reasonably fast render times since I only have one computer to render the animation. This is the current office building exterior minus the trees and bushes that will be added later (2D maps). The background is also just a placeholder. This is also my first time using Vray Sun. Any suggestions would definitly be appreciated since this will be my first animation that I've done in Max (I've done a little work with Maya). All settings are currently set to low (IR = low, Light Cache = 500, Exponential Color Mapping). I'm aware of the problem with the area on the back of the building which looks noticably bad, but I haven't really looked into what's causing the really bad black smudges. Edit: Also, several of the glass panels on the front of the building haven't had a texture added to them, I didn't notice that until after I uploaded the images...that'll be fixed soon.
