antonio_frias
I have been waiting anxiously for the last couple of months for the latest release of Revit. Yesterday I downloaded the 30 day trial version from the Autodesk website. I was hoping to find major changes and developments; a jump forward! Man, was I disapointed! I looked, and looked and finally I found out what had been changed in Revit Architecture 2008 when compared to Revit Building 9.1. They changed the name! Wow! That's really going to help my workflow! I regularly check out the wishlist on the Augi Forum. There are lots of interesting suggestions out there from those who work daily with Revit. Maybe the people over at Autodesk should try loging in once in a while too!
ChooChoo
I hear ya man. It doesn't sound to me like a whole lot has changed either. People sure are excited though aren't they? IMO, there hasn't been a huge change at any level since they acquired it. There has been improvements, but slow. And the format change every release bugs the hell out of me. And the fact you can't save to older version...ever. Does overall have the best potential of all CAD software IMO.
antonio_frias
I concur with you William, I believe that Revit has the potential to best BIM program at the moment. I just wish they would taken into account the requests of those who use it on a daily basis. I don't know if they have a Beta program for Revit like they do for Autocad, but if they do I am going to try to sign up. You never know if they might take into account my suggestions! ChooChoo
They do have beta testing. Check AUGI, 'cause I'm not sure where you sign up for that.
Island J
http://myfeedback.autodesk.com/ Thats where you sign up. I agree that RAC 2008 keeps you wanting more but I should also say that I do find the updates useful. Jose' de Castro LEED AP
