Michael Emo
Perhaps this is best to put in VRAy, but I think it might apply here also. I'm wondering the 'best' way to get roof shingles. I have a huge roof (really big and long building) so the individual shingles won't necessarily be seen from far away camera, but up close they might be. How best to get the shingles on there? I've created a roof, and I have downloaded VRay Shingles (I'm using VRay Renderer) material. Do you apply and then use UVW Unwrap to get the scale right on all the different pieces of roof? How do you guys take care of this kind of thing? Thanks
antonio_frias
Have you tried using Vray displacement?
Michael Emo
I have not tried that. I will head over to VRay Forum to see if anyone has posted a tutorial on it. Thanks
