JamesTaylor
Anyone know how to remove dll's / dlo's attached to a file? I have a Cactus model that when merged into Viz2007 comes up with Missing dll's dialog box and lists ParticleView.dlo as missing... obviously Viz doesn't contain particles. I can actually merge the file and render it locally on my machine, but the issue is that its part of an animation to be rendered across a farm of machines, from past experience missing DLL's cause errors thro backburner and the animation won't render... I have sifted thro the geometry and modifier stack to try and find any partical refernces to delete, but none seem to exist, also done the same for materials, also opened the file in max and done the same checks just to double check. any suggests, links to scripts etc. etc.??? FlytE
Ive had this before but what it tends to be is either the model was made in max or was made in a different version of viz, in which case it contains references to tools or modifiers that are either dont exist or are incompatible. JamesTaylor
Thanks Andy, i actually managed to sort this out by deleting all references to particals from the file, i had tried this previous to posting but happened to miss one instance that was a long way from the geometry and showed as an editable mesh... A cunning devil that caused me a a few hrs annoyance!
