RawB8figure
I'am getting interested in getting into design. I will be going to school in fall. I had a few questions for the senior guys of the industry. I was looking in the finished work section and the images look great. I notice you guys use 3dsmax and vray. Where did you learn it? was it part of your education or work? Also people that do this what is the job title? I'am at the point where I'am messing around with sketchup, but would like to learn the skills to make it look real. What do you guys recommend for learning these programs. ipxstudios
Do all you can learning on your own - look up tutorials on the internet, read and practice. You will have to make decisions of which 3D program and render engine you will go with. Only you can make that decision based on your research. Most of it will depend on you and your passion for this field.

What do you guys recommend for learning these programs. both. peeps here learn because their job says so, because they have an interest in it, because they had no choice in college etc etc. I'd say most learnt it because they're passionate about it. Generally these days, the tutorials and manuals that come bundled with softwares is fantastic, but a quick google search will always expand on this if you need further tuts. Or, like allot of us here who learnt our wares before the internet kicked in, just day to day practise and self learning was the ticket Also people that do this what is the job title? I'am at the point where I'am messing around with sketchup, but would like to learn the skills to make it look real. there is no official job title. i call myself an architectural artist for instance. As i say, the key to making it 'look real' is pure slog. the more you keep at it the better you become. there is no over night solution.
