archkre
After having worked for more than 5 years for a very important custom/ spec homes builder as an architect/ pjct.mgr. I was laid off two weeks ago due to a huge slow down in that market here, in South Florida. I was trying to get a new job through newspapers/ careerpath/ AIA website with no luck! Do you guys know any other places to get a new job, any suggestions? Thanks a lot
Ernest Burden III
It would be either getting a job with an A/E firm, an arch-vis studio or freelance. What sort of work would you want to be doing? Will you move to get a job in another city or region?

Tommy L
Theres always stuff going on craigs list. Saying that , Im not sure your going to find too much stuff here. This website always has people looking to employ 3d artists, but the design side is quite quiet I think. Have a look at the jobs page. Unless youre looking to be a renderer of course, post some work and say youre looking for a job, someone may bite on the strength of your 3d. RyanSpaulding
What do you mean by: "Theres always stuff going on craigs list."? Thank you Basically, he's saying there will always be jobs on there. However, your decision to stay in the same field, in the same poor market, and an unwillingness to relocate will make it hard.
Ernest Burden III
Another possible avenue would be to post about your availability in a forum for whatever CAD software you use. In my case that's Datacad, and the DCAD forum sometimes has posts by firms looking for people.
