Stu Mayhew
A recent post by xpumasx indicated he was using the above apps. As I often use a roughly similar process I thought I would post a couple of images. My intention is not to produce a 'watercolour', as such, but an image with some softness to take the edge off the CG look. Kerkythea, in this case, is great for lighting and reflections. Kerkythea, in my opinion is the best value [$0] renderer around. Stu

bytor
Stu, I think you have nailed it! The balance you have chosen between the WC effect and the photo-real render is just right. I love the vibrancy you get from the colors without the hard edges. The image balance is much better than other tries at this I have seen from others. Great work! Stu Mayhew
Thanks for the comments, guys. Masone, Kerkythea is a tremendous, well supported, free renderer http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/ but it was only one step in producing the above, so don't expect similar images straight out of the box Stu
