SketchUp>Kerkythea>PS

A recent post by xpumasx indicated he was using the above apps.

As I often use a roughly similar process I thought I would post a couple of images.

My intention is not to produce a 'watercolour', as such, but an image with some softness to take the edge off the CG look. Kerkythea, in this case, is great for lighting and reflections.

Kerkythea, in my opinion is the best value [$0] renderer around.;)

I think you have nailed it! The balance you have chosen between the WC effect and the photo-real render is just right. I love the vibrancy you get from the colors without the hard edges. The image balance is much better than other tries at this I have seen from others. Great work!
