jbrenton
This is a small coffee shop scene I am working on for graduate school trying to get it as photorealistic as possible. I just started using VRay and this is where I am at thus far. Some materials and modeling need to still be worked on but it'd be great if anyone could comment on ANYTHING they think I could improve on or should fix. Please be as general or detailed as possible, ALL COMMENTS ARE WELCOME...if it sux please let me know!
stormchaser
good work so far mate. little bit of noise in the rendering but its expected in test renders, im sure in your final rendering youll increase subdv and noise will disappear. may i ask what is going to be actual material in the round ceiling and ducts on top? seems a bit unusual but maybe its a part of the design may i also ask the height of the door? would be cool if you make the door transparent and put a street view outside, nothing makes a scene more realistic than a nice background merged nicely with the 3d. Keylitho
I agree with stormchaser about the door and I think that you should stretch it quite a bit taller or put a trans. abv. as far as photo realistic I think that you are getting pretty close I do think that you should redraw your HVAC ducts and vent on the celing the corners are way to rounded and the same situation on the round vent. I think that it should look a little thinner and sharp. Now it looks kinda cartoony. And the can lights above the counter seemto be quite large. Oh and I think that the HVAC would be better in Black since 9 out of 10 places you go into with open ceilings like that they are black to you don't notice it that much... ~Erik
