:o what a shame...so simple...

well one more question...should i decrease the sun multiplier, increase the f-stop, or both?

Well, I'd say one or the other. If you change the intensity multiplier, uncheck the exposure option in your camera. It makes the camera control the overall exposure, so you can use a "natural" sun intensity (1). If you change the intensity multiplier to a low value such as .08, you probably don't need the exposure control.

On the other hand, if you keep the original intensity multiplier, you can control the brightness of the resulting image using f-number, film ISO and shutter speed. There's a website (I can't recall the link) with an online exposure calculator that is really nice. I'll check my favs tomorrow and post it here.

thank you rick for your answers.

i have another problem here. recently checked a tut about this and it says that when i create a vray sun, it will prompt me to add a vray sky. but when i do this, i get no prompt. i have to add the sky manually. and, when i move the sun, the sky won't change.

what am i doing wrong??
