Devin Johnston
This topic has been discussed before and there doesn’t seem to be and easy way to take models from a 3D application into a gaming engine. Several members on this forum have tried to do what you’re asking and some have succeeded however they basically had to recreate the design in the engines native 3d modeling program. It's been about a year since I last heard anything about this so something new may have been created.

SandmanNinja
Hmm.... 3DS-Max is one of the most common 3D apps to use for games. www.3DBUZZ.com has a nice commercial tutorial on using max in game engines, and www.3d-palace.com has some free tutorials on doing that. I'm speaking of games such as Quake, Doom, etc. Heck, I've done a quick-n-dirty mod of a game. I put a 'mech in it but it didn't have "bones" so the game engine couldn't animate him.
