mesht
hi i've been using MR daylight+sky for most of my interiors, and i realized that MR did not seem to render IES files correctly. What i mean is that, when i placed a 90W Halogen downlight, it does not brighten or show the cone of light it was supposed to show, btw, i'm using only Final Gather. When i placed a HID downlight, the place seem to brighten up a bit which is not supposed to be, as HID are mainly used for public spaces with high ceiling. i did a bit of exposure control to control the overall brightness. so..what could be the cause here? using MR 3.5 in max
nisus
Hi, The cause could be to different things now. Exposure control, amount of lumen you use, rotation and direction of your lamp etc... It also depends how large your space is... It's physical correct, so you have to keep in mind that (so to speak) a single candle won't be able to light a concert hall... Can you give more specific information? rgds, nisus
