jaker
Hi All I have quite a few models of furniture that I would love a top view of for some 2d floor plans. Does anyone know of a quick way to tell max to render my entire library while i sleep I am wondering if there might be a script that allows max to import the model, set it on a stage, and render from above. I just cant imagine taking the time to render 1000 times manually. Any guidance would be very helpful!!! Thanks in advance
molson
Hi Brad, Attached is a zip file. While MAX is not open, Unzip the file into your \UI\MacroScripts\ directory there is one file, (MarkOlsonRenderAll.mcr) When you load the window for the first time in MAX it will create MarkOlsonRenderAll.ini in your scripts directory. Open max Go to Customize>customize user interface... Click the toolbars tab Next to Category click on the triangle to get the pull down...select MarkOlson Drag "Render all" to a toolbar Known limitations: -It only outputs TGA with alpha -It does not process sub folders -It uses the last used rendering engine -It only renders the top view -If there is no stage file it will not continue. So if you don't want to use a stage file then create a file with nothing in it as the stage file. these limitations can be fixed if need be. Just let me know. Hope this helps Thanks, Mark
molson
The script has been tested on MAX 8 only. But I am confidant that it will work with MAX
