frank1331
How do i control the depth of a reflection in a glass material? I don't want to see things that are a long distance from the glass.
Koper
I might be way off lower the sudivs and max depth of the reflections of the glass material, by default they are 8 & 5 respectively, so just lower them also go down the material to the reflect tab and play with those setting. frank1331
I tried lowering the depth to 2, but I thought that only controlled the number of bounces of the reflection. I also have the reflection map turned way down, and I am still getting a real crisp reflection of something away and in shade. I'll keep playing with the settings to see what I can get. Koper
right click the object and select 'vray properties' then lower the reflect amount. then you can also select the object you dont want to be reflected and right click, 'vray properties and un-tick the 'visible in reflections, but then its off for all reflections
