djoshi
Hi guys..! I have problem in AA in vray. I have 1/2" grooves in bldg. wall. But when I am rendering using Vray, the details of grooves doesn't come properly. I have tried different AA settings which I know but... . And I am sure it is not the camera distance issue b'cos I have tried rendering using light tracer or default scanline renderer with the same camera position, Grooves are very clean & crisp in these. So, anybody knows which are the best AA settings to get these kind of details clean & crisp using Vray.... .
Brian Smith
You'll find the answer in 2 Insider articles...the one entitled 'Critical V-Ray Settings' and the one entitled 'An In Depth Look at Image Sampling'
Mechadus
If the problem you are having is that the details dissappear completely, try changing your anti-aliasing filter to the Catmul-Rom filter, with adaptive QMC.. That, combined with proper iradience map settings should be able to bring out your detail from any distance. -Nick Kropat
