SU5 > Pro6 upgrade problem

Recommended Posts

Soon after it was released, I upgraded my SU5 to SU Pro6. But for some reason the upgrade never 'took', and since then SU is stuck in 'EVAL' mode. I've tried everything I can think of, including sending a message to SU through their support page. Hey, remember phone support? SU used to have some. No more.

Any ideas? would someone tell me which account @last used to send the Pro6 auth code from? Maybe I got it and missed the email. I've searched my emails, but maybe if I knew which account it would help.

Ernest,

When I upgraded a while back this is some of the information I got in the e-mail in regards with problems getting the new version 6 license. Hope it helps.

Sorry Ernest,

I didn't mean to be too negative. There are known printing problems

and other issues...eg

http://forum.sketchup.com/showthread.php?t=79540.

I'm sure there are many people happily using V6 but I do feel it wasn't on par with previous upgrades...but hey! it was free!;)

If you wanted to re-install V5 I'm pretty sure it is still available to download...a query on the SU forum would probably point you in the right direction.

I'm slow.

I had already used the web 'contact tech support' before posting this thread. I never got a response.

Just now I followed the directions to get the upgrade authorized. All I got was a message telling me my serial had already been upgraded. Thanks, I know, its just that my software doesn't know.

So I'm back at the brick wall. Once its a decent hour in Colorado I'll call the SU sales department and hopefully I'll get some action that way.
