Craftsman house

Recommended Posts

Looking good.

few things that stood out

1. Sky looks a little gloomy, maybe more saturation and brighter.

2. Add a little blur to all background trees, right now both the background and the foreground trees seem to blend into each other

3. Add brightness and contract a little.

4. Make steet a little darker

5. There should be some shadowing on the house from the landscaping around the house....oh, the landscaping looks to repetitive, try mirroring and tweaking, to give it some variation. especially on the right.

All quick photoshop fixes...

The house looks cool, Modeling, grass and overall composition look really good to me.

Keep up the good work.

The overall view is good, in an overall sort of way. The other posted comments are useful, so I won't repeat them. One addition would be to move the foreground branch away from the roof of the house. You already have a tree covering part of the house on the left. Give it some breathing room.

But beyond 'overall' I suggest you add at least one closer view. Craftsman style is about craftsmanship--attention to detail. So you should show some detail. That's what's special about this house, not its overall shape.

Thank you all for the feedback. I agree with everything that was said. I'll take the time to make the adjustments and post a new picture when I am done.

To answer your question Scott, the house model was modeled in Autocad, the rendering was done in 3d studio max with vray and all of the landscaping, sky, curb, trees, mulch, edging, and image adjustments were done in Photoshop. A nice array of everything. Unfortunately I am new to vray and I still feel like I don't know anything about 3d studio. Thank god for Photoshop!!
