tcupp
I was pushing the deadline on an animation that I am doing and last night when my farm crashed I definitly went over the limit. I have never used an online renderfarm. What can I expect to pay to have 360 frames (approx 1 hr each on a 2.4 Ghtz Core 2 Duo) rendered in Viz? Also, what can I expect timeline wise? Is it possible to submit a job and have them start the render within 24 hrs?
aaron-cds
This company has an online cost generator on the right side. http://www.respower.com/
BrianKitts
respower also has a nice one day subscription for unlimited rendering for $300. I've used it a couple of times. It depends how busy the farm is normally your stuff starts within an hour or two. You don't get the whole farm at once, but it's a decent load. last animation i ran on their server (45 min per frame on my dualcore @ home) completed in about 4 hours on their machines. I had a few mistakes I didn't catch in test renders..... so since I had the unlimited I just fixed it and sent the whole thing again..... well worth the $300 to not have to settle for a mistake.
