josetolits
Hi:( I would like to seek some advice on my test render. I don't know whats the cause of these splotches as shown, Ived used photon map for rendering
SandmanNinja
Hmm... Just a tip - I typically use: Primary: Irradiance Secondary: QMC (or photon map) v-ray colour mapping: type: Expotentional image sampling: adaptive subdivision (this way, it will 'concentrate' on the areas that need the detail and 'be less dense' on wide, open areas) anti-alias filter: catmul it pretty good v-ray irradiance map: hsph subdivisions: 50 (20 or 30 while you're testing, 50 for 'final' renders) built-in presets: pick medium or high. The min and max rate defines the 'resolution' or how 'granular' the attention to detail is. Just some ideas - I'm a noob, so take it with a grain of salt. I dunno... it almost looks like you have some noise in the reflecting material..? I'm still learning myself - let me know if you solve this problem. PGD
Is the glass made of a box shape, with a front and back polygon to it? If so delete all the faces but the one facing the camera and hey presto, specs vanish (i think )
Brian Smith
well you definitely need a better noise threshold...0.05 is way too high. place it back to the default 0.01 for starters
josetolits
Hi Guys!
