mooney102
Hello, Is it possible to search a Max file for a bitmap that is being used by a material?? My Problem: A Hdr is somehow attached to a material, but I am not sure what material or object this is. The hdr file is local on my machine. I am sending out the job to other machines to render, and recieve error opening Hdr file. This file is not is not show in the Bitmap/Photometric paths utility, and I cant locate it. Any Suggetsions?? Tommy L
You could look in the material browser. But if its not showing in the path editor utility......I dont think it'll show in the editor. If its an hdr, are you sure you havnt put it in the environment slot? If you know what the map is, you could just copy it onto the render nodes, or do you want rid of it altogether? mooney102
I found that if you go into the vray log on the computer that is crashing, search for the missing map, that will lead you to the material with the missing map.
BrianKitts
under the file menu -> use the asset tracker. Any missing maps will be grayed out.
mooney102
Yea, but the problem was that the map was inside of a Multi sub object material. I could not find which material or object was holding that file, and the asset tracker does not show which material it is linked to.
